Kiwi spotting is well underway for the season with Beaks and Feathers. We have been consistently seeing juvenile birds during our kiwi spotting tours. It is the start of mating season so we’re hearing lots of calling as the adult birds gear up to breed. The start of spring is an exciting time for bird encounters.
We are running Kiwi for Koha during the month of September. This scheme is to encourage kiwis (the human kind!) to visit our beautiful island home, join one of our kiwi spotting night tours and then pay what you think is fair for the experience you have. We only ask that you spend what you would usually pay for the tour at another small business here on the island. Please get in touch with us if you would like more information, or to book in.
